The Daily News Building is located at 220 East 42nd Street. It's construction began in 1929 and it was designed for Joseph Patterson by an architect named Raymond Hood. It was constructed as a newspaper factory and they purrposely choose 42nd Street so the loud noises coming fron the printing wouldn't annoy anyone else in the area because it was a noisy area already. It is an Art Deco design, constructed with polychrome and brick cladding, and a steal frame. There are vericle stripes on the windows, brown brick in the spindrals and red and black between the spindrals. This structure is a 36 story building that is 476 feet (145 meters).
